Death of Last Ottoman Princess - Another Geula Sign

Washington Post:
ANKARA, Turkey — Neslisah Osmanoglu, an Ottoman princess who married an Egyptian prince and was twice forced into exile when both royal households were abolished, has died. She was 91.

Neslisah Sultan, or Princess Neslisah, died in Istanbul on Monday, according to her nephew, Abdulhamid Kayihan Osmanoglu. He didn’t give the cause of death, but new reports said it was a heart attack. A funeral ceremony was being held Tuesday for the princess, who was the oldest member of the Ottoman dynasty.

According to Wikipedia:

After the recent deaths of Prince Burhaneddin Cem (2008) and Prince Ertuğrul Osman (2009), she was also the last surviving member of the Ottoman Dynasty to have been born during the Ottoman era.

Bemidbar 24:24:

וְצִים מִיַּד כִּתִּים, וְעִנּוּ אַשּׁוּר וְעִנּוּ-עֵבֶר; וְגַם-הוּא, עֲדֵי אֹבֵד
But ships shall come from the coast of Kittim, and they shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall come to destruction.

I've mentioned before that Rabbeinu Bahya says that the Kittim are from the children of Yavan and it is possible that it is a hint to the evil Kingdom of Yishmael.

Rabbeinu Bahye lived from the mid-13th century until 1340. The Ottoman Empire began in the year 1299. It is highly likely that the evil Kingdom of Yishmael that Rabbeinu Bahye refers to is the Ottoman Empire.

The end of the verse says, "and he also shall come to destruction". Rashi, Ibn Ezra and others say that this refers to the Kittim.

This verse (verse 24) is the very last verse of Bil'am's prophecy that talks about what will happen at the End of Days (see verse 14).

When the last vestige of the Ottoman Empire is gone, we can only look forward to a new era. Bimhera Veyameinu - Amen.

Actually the Ottomans were the Old Man of Europe and were pretty tame because Yishmael did teshuvah in his old age. But Erdogan would like to restart a new more rejuvenated Ottaman Empire. He will have to duke it out with Achmadinejad and the Muslim Bros. in Egypt. I wonder if a Kittim invasion of Northern Iraq where Nineveh, Ashur is has anything to do with this prophesy. Erdogan might want to get rid of his Kurdish insurgency in one swoop, which might include an invasion of Kurdish areas of Iraq. The Persians want to control Basra (Batzrah) and the Turks want to control the Kurdish areas in the north. Yishayahu 34 seems to speak about waves of different invaders of Iraq and Batzrah at the End of Days. The Iraqi experiment was a British invention to cobble three different peoples together so that the oil producing regions of the north could pipe their oil to Basra and the Persian Gulf without passing through Turkey. It was bound to fail.

Yes, the Ottomans were for the most part good to the Jews, but a prophecy is a prophecy. It could be that that is why it says וגם - since it's a Hiddush that it is עדי אבד.

The only problem seems to be that the Turkish Navy would not be needed in an invasion of northern Iraq. Yet, of course it would be used against Eiver here in EY. Yet, since there is a pshat in everything in the Torah, we can assume that Kittim will try to conquer Ashur and not just EY. A Turkish invasion of Northern Iraq would have apocalyptic consequences since northern Iraq is one of the sweet oil oceans in the world. It would cause repercussions no less drastic than a Persian takeover of Batzrah or an attempted takeover of the Saudi king. Obuzzard left a vacuum in Iraq. The Bavel effect was extinguished with the hanging of Saddam Hussein on the 9th of Tevet 5767. Bavel and its spiritual descendants are no more. Both Erdogan and Achmadinejad will soon move into the vacuum. It is worth noting that the Kurds are linguistically from Madai and are Muslim, but the true descendants of Ashur are Christians and live in the same areas of Iraq as the Kurds and also in Syria. Also the Assyrians already experienced one genocide during WW1 at the hands of the Ottoman Turks. Even as an old man, Yishmael in Turkey became pretty bloody during WW1 with genocides against Armenians and Assyrians. Even an old man in his death throes can become murderous again, but not against Jews in this case. The Turks during WW1 seem to have perpetrated mass murders against Christians. So perhaps one such genocide attempt is enough to qualify as an Inui. G-d forbid that we need to witness more genocides.
